Personal Statement

My name is Anthony Antunez and I have a huge love for the game of football.  I started playing when I was 10 and instantly knew that this was my thing and I haven't stopped moving forward and working since. Through my experience playing football I learned that I'm stronger mentally than I once thought I was and that anything in this world that you want has to be earned. I've not only become a better football player but a leader that my team mates can look up to and a better young man in the process. Growing up I was raised by a single mother and have had to work for many things in my life one way or another. Both life, adversity, setbacks and bounce backs along with football has made me into the young man I am today. I show that heart and drive in me on the field every day and I know I can be great on your squad when my time comes.

In college I want continue to play football and get my degree because I know football isn't forever.  In the classroom I got off to a rocky start freshman year but have since improved a lot. On the field I'm a two way starter switching back and forth from guard to tackle and on defense playing defensive tackle. I'm different from the average big man because I have good stamina and very quick with good footwork for my size. I have big dreams on the field in college. I never settle for being average and I'm working towards being the best every day.
