Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Payten Kaysner and I have been playing volleyball since I was 12. I realized quickly that I enjoyed the sport. At 9th grade I chose volleyball over soccer which I had played since I was 5 years old. I started club volleyball between 8th and 9th grade which helped me to improve and make the JV team as a Freshman at Skyview High School. From that point forward I played on competitive teams, and played on an 18's level team since my sophomore year. I found that I thrive on being a defensive player and working on improving serve receive and getting as many digs as I can. I finished my senior year at a high with being awarded 1st team all league, and then achieving 2nd team on region.
I have 6 siblings in which I'm the oldest. Outside of volleyball I enjoy watching all sports that my siblings participate in. I have a passion for music and played the cello for 5 years. I am interested in pursuing a Business Degree. I am excited for the next stage of life and I hope to be playing the sport I love in college while pursing my degree.
