Personal Statement

I'm a 5'10" linemen from Seminole Fl and will graduate in 2021.  I'm open to switching to whatever position I'm needed in college. I started on the JV football team at Seminole High School in 2017.  I was on the starting offense team and by the end of the season was starting on offense and defense at defensive tackle.  Although my team did not go to the playoffs we improved winning more games than the team had won in several years.  During the off season I'm working on improving my speed and strength by working out and joining as many camps and programs and I am able.  I love all sports but football has always been my passion.  My parents signed me up for tackle football when I was 5 years old.  I had an instant love for the game.  I've played baseball and basketball as well, but these sports really just kept me active until the next season.

Over the last year, I've started volunteering helping out one of the local youth football leagues.   It's inspiring and fulfilling to be able to help younger players to develop their passion of the game.  A coach once told me you need to have character to play football.  He said " Character is who you are when no one is looking".  I've always followed this and try to teach this to the younger players as well.

Playing football in college is the goal I would like to achieve.  I believe I would make a good addition to any team because I always work hard, give 110% on the field and strive to be leader on my team.  I would like to find a college where I can find the right balance between class and field. I see my college years to be a time where I can grow as a athlete and student.  I would like to be a forceful and positive influence on the field.  Financial assistance will be very important to me as my family will have a need for it.  Ideally I would like to play for a team that would have great coaches that would help me excel.
