Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
From ballet to Little League Baseball to playing multiple instruments, I have been taught from an early age to work as a team.
When I first picked up a field hockey stick in 2012 at the age of eight, I fell in love with the game. In January 2014, I had a skiing accident and couldn't play field hockey for six months. I then realized how not to take my talents and gifts for granted, as they could be gone in a second.
Something that sets me aside from the other girls in the class of 2022 is my passion and drive for the game. Not being allowed to play is torture for me. I also have a great work ethic on the field and in the classroom. Since playing field hockey at John Paul, I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership even without winning a state trophy. I believe that I would be an impactful player for your program not only because of my skill, but also because of the hard work and determination I put in every day. My dedication through the sport allows me to have fun.
