Personal Statement

 I am a sophmore from South Carolina playing Varsity Football for Summerville High School. 

As an 9th grader, I was elected team captain for Stratford JV High School Football Team (Finished 6-3) before transferring near end of 2016 back to Summerville.  Although there is a Freshman B Team at Summerville High School, I decided to play middle linebacker for the JV squad as a freshman.  By season's end, I played offense, defense, and special teams.  During my freshman year, I accounted for 106 tackles, including 12 TFL and 3 FF . I earned Stratford Scout player of the Week to the varsity three times throughout the season.

My goal is to play college football at an institution that affords me the opportunity to play football and excel in academics.  I hope one day to pursue a career in business and construction like my father.  What separates me from other recruits is my relentless drive to succeed on the field and in the classroom. I have been a proud member of the Junior Beta Club the last 3 years and plan on being in the National Honors Society. While football is important, staying grounded with academics is very important in my household. Despite these academic and athletic accomplishments, I continue to work hard each day training before and after school.   I appreciate your consideration over the next few years to earn a scholarship at your school and hope you will watch me grow as a student athlete.  I humbly ask for a chance to be considered at your school.  I will put the team before myself and use my work ethic, values, skills, and academic abilities to help the team wherever I am needed.
