Personal Statement
My name is Jackson Bradford, and I play football at Strawberry Crest High School in Dover, Florida. I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program.
As a player, I am intense and agressive, and I possess a phenomenal work ethic. Despite a lack of football experience prior to high school, I earned a start in the spring jamboree my freshman year. Unfortunately, a back injury sidelined me for my entire sophomore season. However, I put in a tremendous amount of effort during the off-season by going above and beyond the mandatory lifting and conditioning program, and I was able to win back my starting role on the offensive line in this year's spring jamboree. While my team struggled with a 2-8 record, I feel that I had an extremely successful 2019 season, in which I dominated against inferior competition, and proved my worth against premier programs such as Lakeland, Plant City, and Bloomingdale.
Off the field, I check all the boxes as a potential recruit. I am a phenomenal student and highly intelligent individual, and I'm enrolled in the highly rigirous IB program at my high school. The nature of this program demands that one put in a significant amount of work in order to be successful, and I have done so, as I maintain a 4.9 GPA. I also took the ACT early, and scored a 30, and I will look to even further improve my score during my 11th grade year. I am also a member of the Boy Scouts of America, and I am working toward earning my Eagle Scout rank.
It is a dream of mine to play football on the collegiate level, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to receive an opportunity to do so. Should you give me one, I promise to you that I will not disappoint, and that I will work as hard as I can to be the best student and athlete I can be.
Thank you,
Jackson Bradford
