Personal Statement

I am a Student Athlete and I take the Student part of that title just as seriously as the Athlete part.  Being a student will allow me to work on those skills that may one day help me create things via technology, either software or hardware. Being an athlete and playing on a team will help me to be a good employee and design team member. When I am not studying or practicing Football or Baseball, I am with my family at church or helping my parents or grandparents, and supporting my brother and sister. As the youngest I have helped move my brother and sister to and from college ten times already and I am sure there are more opportunities in my future. Friends and School clubs come next and are important to help keep me balanced and stress free.  I have dreams, some are big dreams like being the man my family and God would expect.  My big dreams include playing Football and Baseball in college, graduating college with a degree that helps me to have a career and family.  Some smaller goals are meeting a pre season touchdown total and homerun total, a monthly workout and weight gain goal, and finally a GPA and community service goal.  I listen closely to my brother and sister when they tell me to do all I can with my time in high school and college and I am definitely one to take advice and learn from others.  I like that my coaches call me a “coachable kid” and that my teachers select me for those activities and events that require maturity and hard work.  I am looking to play for and attend a college that will appreciate my commitment to God, family, academics, and my teammates.  I am looking for a college that will challenge me in the classroom and support me on field.  I am looking for a place to grow and be all I can be.
