Personal Statement
I am Bryson Robertson, Class of 2022 (#9). I currently attend Flint Hill School, a private co-educational college preparatory school, in Oakton, Virginia. I enjoy attending Flint Hill because it has increased my knowledge in many different aspects of my life. Flint Hill is preparing me to be a student-athlete and manage my time well on my way to graduation. This opportunity is also generating interests from potential colleges which may, in turn, equate to a potential scholarship.
I am currently a 5'9" 175Ibs student-athlete. I am proud to say that I received the Tri-Star Athlete award as a Freshman and as a Sophmore. My strength and determination as a student-athlete comes from my foundation with a former Division 1 athlete, my father (Rob). My dad was a former player of the Baltimore Ravens; therefore, he has instilled a lot in me. He has taught me the game of football and is always able to help me visualize or get better. I am always willing to listen and get better at the task at hand which I feel is a good character trait to have when being on a football team. Another trait I believe instilled in me is my drive and willingness to not be outworked. A quote that I always remember when doing anything that motivates me is "Always You vs. YOURSELF"!
Lastly, I understand that academics are just as important as athletics, and I make my academics a priority. Being enrolled in a college preparatory school academics are taken very seriously. Flint Hill has challenged me and brought upon rigorous assignments; however, I know it will benefit me in the long run and give me a solid foundation when enrolling in college. I plan to make the best out of my college experience and find a degree that really interests me and that will strengthen my growth and development mentally making me a solid student-athlete. I am also interested in finding a college/university that will be the guidance to furthering the goals I have set for myself in my life in order to advance my career!
In closing, my mom always asks me every day "Do I Have Greatness Within Me", I believe I do by putting in the work.
