Personal Statement

Hello,

My name is Alvaro Ortega. It has been a very life long and athletic journey to get to where I am now.  Many say to stay away from the disbelievers but I find them the main influence in my life. Not only do they show your attitude but they also show how bad you want it. My family has also influenced who I am today. A very enthusiastic teenager from Miami Florida that looks to make his family proud. There have been many ups and downs in my life and those have made me a stronger person and have taught me many lessons which I will cherish forever.

I have always loved the game of football. All the way from playing on the grass with friends before a Dolphins game to playing against incredible athletes just like myself. I really got into it during football season of my 8th-grade year. I noticed how much success the game can bring me and how much success I can bring the game. I have learned an abundance of things about myself playing football through the years. It has taught me to get up after a downfall and has made me into a stronger person physically and mentally. I look to finish high school with a high GPA and top of my class. Coming from one of the top academic high schools in the nation it isn't always the easiest task but certainly possible especially with my family's studious past. All of these things have molded me into myself and have motivated me like never before of chasing my dream to go play college football.
