Personal Statement

Playing college ball has always been my main goal. I want to play college softball because I love every aspect of this sport, and being able to continue to do what I love while pursuing a college education would be a dream come true. Softball is way more than a game to me. My entire life revolves around this game, and I am not ready to slow down after high school and club ball ends. I could not see my life after high school any other way besides playing softball.

    I would be a great asset to any college program. I take pride in my positive, lighthearted attitude, and I love to keep things happy and upbeat. However, I am a very competitive person and I take winning very seriously. My relationship with my teammates is very important to me, and I know I can get along with any team seamlessly. I am naturally very outgoing, and I love meeting new people. Leadership on and off the field comes naturally to me. As a pitcher, I know I need to be a leader on any team. I have spent most of my life involved in Girl Scouts, school honor programs, NHS, and several more community service roles,  so I know what it takes to be not only a leader but a role model as well. I would love to be able to bring these characteristics to the table of any softball program. 

    For my college career, I am looking for a school that will not only help me grow and learn as both a scholar and an athlete; but one that will also allow me to be a part of a family. I believe that the stronger the relationships are with your teammates and coaches, the more successful you will be. I also understand that I have room to grow and develop with more to learn, so I need a coach that will help me reach my full potential. I am also looking for a program that is competitive. I am very serious about winning, and I need to be surrounded by those with the same vision. I am open to schools anywhere in the country, but a school on the West Coast would be nice. As known, college is expensive, so a school that can help me financially and that has scholarship opportunities is important.
