Personal Statement

My name is Jake Delfino and I am a senior offensive lineman from Trumbull High School in Trumbull, CT.  After losing my junior season I had realized what a grind it was going to be to get to the next level. Throughout that time off I was able to become a bigger, stronger, faster, and more fundamental football player. I had also earned team captain in that off-season.My goal in the sport of football is to develop each and every season on the field as a player and off the season as a young adult. As I’ve moved up as a player, I’ve encountered new responsibilities as a leader of my teammates and peers. I was captain of my youth program for 7 years, elected to the FBU all-star team in 2017, and captain of my Freshman football team in 2018. Leadership and development is a major part of what I’ve been taught and raised on. I strive to be the best on the field and in the classroom. I bring a fire and desire with everything I do. I am prepared to bring this attitude and desire for success to any program who is willing to invest in me.
