Personal Statement
I am an underestimated athlete because of my height, but I've never let that hold me back. I know I am short, so I work harder on and off the field. I do not let others stand in my way, and I show coaches my dedication and ability. I’ve learned that only your work-ethic and ability to be a disciplined leader will show people how much heart you truly have.This is my 11th year in a row starting as running back, and team captain 7 times. In 2017 I earned a starting position as a freshman. We finished our season with a winning record of 7 wins and 2 losses. My sophomore year was cut short due to an ankle injury after scoring 2 touchdowns in a varsity scrimmage.
I am looking for college that will benefit me academically, not just athletically. I believe that I not only have the talent to succeed in the college level, but the leadership skills, heart, dedication, and love for the sport. This is why I believe I will be a significant factor on your program. I am a three-sport athlete, team captain, and high honors 4.6 scholar athlete, I know I have what it takes to fulfill a leadership position on your team!
