Personal Statement

In middle school i was recognized as the best male athlete of my school, they presented me with a Husky award. Also, limiting myself to just one sport wouldn't allow me to see my full potential. I participate in not only football but basketball and baseball as well. Setbacks has became a large description of my grind to become better. Beginning of my freshman and sophomore years i went under difficult injuries, but I didn't allow them to shape me of who i can become.  During my freshman season i came back onto the junior varsity team and help win second in our conference. Sophomore season i returned and had an excellent few games on junior varsity and was pulled up around mid-season to play on varsity. 

I understand sports are critical but academics can take someone so much further than just athletic ability. Freshman year i maintained a 4.00 GPA. Currently in my sophomore year I have a 3.87 GPA. I understand that focusing on academics plays a large roll of what i want to be when i become older.
