Personal Statement

I was born with bilateral club feet.  I was treated for this by a student of the person(Dr. Ponseti) who developed the non-surgical correction of this condition.  In 6th grade I became interested in football playing for the first time.   In other sports at my school the "system" doesn't feel like a family as football does.  Our coaches expect respect for themselves, the game, and teammates.  Currently I am assisting with Freshmen weight-lifting after school.  I am trying to lead not only by example but in making them accountable to both team and themselves.  I think that football has helped me learn self discipline not only on the field but in the classroom and life in general.

My goal is to become either a computer programmer or graphic designer.   During the fall of my Junior year I have built my own computer at home and continue to have a large interest in technology.  I plan to be a teacher's assistant next year as a senior for the underclass computer science/web design classes.  My college goal is to get a well rounded degree in the computer technology field.
