Personal Statement

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved sports. More to the point, I've always wanted to play at the collegiate level. But that's not the end goal, I want to use that opportunity as a platform to further a career in sports medicine. 

I know that I'm not alone in my desire to play. But, I feel that my work ethic and dedication to my teammates, both on and off the field, is what sets me apart. I am a versatile football player with experience as running back, linebacker and return man on special teams.  My sophomore year I had the opportunity to play the starting running back position on my school's varsity team.  In my Junior year I have played running back and outside line backer.

As a dual athlete, I also play competitive basketball with experience in the Adidas Circuit. These athletic involvements have enhanced my versatility, maturity and strong work ethics! 

Academics plays an important part in my final aspirations. It's not enough to simply get good grades, I want to excel not only as an athlete, but also in the classroom. I am a member of the Kitty Hawk Air Honor Society with my JROTC program at Edmond North High School, as well as, nominated as Student of the Month by one of my teachers in my sophomore and junior years . I was also selected by my football coach to be on the leadership team my junior and now senior year  

A coach who selects me for their team will get a team player who is coachable, leads on the field and in the classroom, has a tireless work ethic, and a desire to compete at the highest level.
