Personal Statement

Hello Coach Smith & football Staff,

My name is Elijah Thomas and I'm a class of 2020 linebacker that attends East Forsyth High School in Kernersville, North Carolina (4A). It is my dream to continue my football career at the collegiate level and I am providing you my senior year mid season film for your review along with my full athletic profile which includes all of my stats, accolades, game film and academic info for your evaluation.  I am an honor roll student, a team captain and an all conference linebacker who leads our team in tackles. Through our first 4 games I have totaled 45 (28 Solo) tackles, 6 TFL, 1 sack, and 1 interception returned for a TD.  Our team is 4-0 and looking to defend our 2018 state championship. I would love to be considered as one of the next great leader's for your defense! Please take a few minutes to review my information as well as forward my info to the coach on staff responsible for recruiting my area in North Carolina. Hopefully I can meet with you or someone from the staff at my school in the coming weeks!

Coach I’ve spent countless hours training and preparing for this opportunity. With me on your team, I’m going to come in and give my very best at all times.  My family often says, “whatever you put in, that’s what your going to get out of it.” I plan to do just that, by giving you my best on and off the field. Academically I maintain a 3.5 GPA and my ACT score currently is an 18.  I will be retaking the test again this fall.
