Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Ian Silva and I am a Rising Senior at Holy Cross School in New Orleans, LA.  I am a 5’10” starting Fullback/middle linebacker/special teams player and weigh 200lbs. My fastest recorded 40 yard dash is 5.16 and my last recorded weight stats are: bench 210, clean 235, and squat 325.  I have been conditioning with the varsity football players since January of my 8th grade year and have seen steady improvement in my statistics.

As a Junior, I was a varsity starter on special teams and achieved my 2nd year of letterman status at the end of the season.  During the off-season I have been: conditioning with the team, watching film, focused on nutritional balance and outside of school I am participating in an elite football performance training program to sharpen my skills as a Fullback and middle/outside linebacker as well as on the special teams side of the ball.

I am interested in universities with an outstanding academic reputation in the South Central area.  I am pursuing a degree in criminal justice with a desire to be accepted to the State Police Academy and later transition into the FBI or the SWAT team.

It is my goal to play football in college and I am very interested in learning more about your university and your football program.  I have been dedicated to football since I was 10 years old and I have the drive to be a valuable addition to your team.
