Personal Statement

 Being the son of two parents that immigrated to the U.S for an opportunity for a new life, I have been able to see firsthand what true determination and perseverance are. I am the older brother of two sisters and one baby brother that have taught me responsibility and accountability for the actions in my life. My parents and grandparents have shown me how to be an upright person and how to live my greatest spiritually, mentally, and physically.  

My name is Ethan Onianwa, and I play the right tackle for the Cinco Ranch Varsity Football team. I aspire for improvement and excellence in my academic and athletic life. I am committed to both school and football, where I keep an A/B average in my Ap and Pre-AP courses and participate in HOSA, NHS, and NSHS. I enjoy volunteering at my church regularly and also at LBJ hospital in Houston over the summer. I believe that our purpose is to improve and hone our skills in life, and I hope I can be a good fit for your program. Thank you for your time in reviewing my profile.
