Personal Statement

Hello, I’m Marko Aki a standout wide out receiver and a lock down corner back!  throughout my life my goal has always been to play football at the Collegiate level (everyone’s dream) but clearly I understand that this cannot be accomplished without hard work on the field, off the field-in the gym, in the film room, and most importantly in the classroom.  Academics has always been very important to me and my family; I have always strived to challenge myself whether it comes to Advanced Placement (AP) courses or honors classes.  I believe this is one thing that makes me stand out, hard work and dedication to school work and everything I set my mind to accomplish.  I do understand that football doesn’t last forever, and that obtaining a college degree is paramount.  Getting the opportunity to play football and at the same time obtaining a good education is a dream come true.  I believe both on and off the field, I am a leader, I love taking charge and getting things done efficiently/effectively and working as a team to overcome obstacles.  Planning for the future is very important, and as of right now, a college education and the opportunity to play football is my priority.  I would appreciate the opportunity to showcase my skills, dedication, passion, and hard work.  I appreciate the time that you have taken to review my personal information and statement.  I believe that given the opportunity I will surely exceed expectations and continue to get better at every aspect of the game, in the classroom academically, and as a good human being serving our communities.
