Personal Statement

Softball has gotten me through some of the hardest times in my life so far, such as the passing of each of my grandparents and cousin, and helped me learn so much about who I am and the person that I want to be. Playing softball in college has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and it has pushed me to stay with the sport when I was struggling with different skills. Instead of giving up, I used this dream to fuel my practice so that I could master these skills.  This dream has allowed me to become so much stronger, both mentally and physically. I cannot imagine my life without putting on my cleats, pitching, or hearing the sound of the bat as I hit the ball. Softball is one of the biggest part of my life.  I work hard in everything that I do, and strive to do the best that I possibly can. I may struggle with something in school, but instead of giving up, I work harder so that I can continue to get better and achieve the highest level possible. I try to help my friends with their problems, and cheer them up if they need it. I love the game of softball, I have been around baseball and softball since before I could walk, going to my older brother's games. I love giving back to the younger softball community by helping out at clinics and practices run by the town or my coach.
