Personal Statement

Hello my name is JaKar Coleman. 

Football has been my passion since I was 5 years old because seeing my older brother perform in the sport helped gain my interest to play. I'm looking for the best college that will help me grow academically and athletically. I have the willingness to listen and learn, as well as take advice from others to help improve my game. With that being said, while attending college I plan to study Sports Management hoping to one day be an Athletic Development Specialist. I understand that football comes with dedication and hard work on and off the field. I feel that I can be an asset to a team because I’m very vocal,encouraging, and more focused on my teammates development  than winning. I am always eager to get on the field whether it's practice or on game day. I’m most definitely eager to one day compete at a higher level than college. I never want to give up on my dream and I know that means I have to never give up on my utmost dedication to playing the game and being the best I can be.  Football has helped groom me into the person I am and I want to continue to play the game. My family has been very supportive because they see my excitement and enthusiasm for the sport and my hard work and dedication on and off the field.  I hope to continue to make them proud of my playing and professionalism on and off the field.
