Personal Statement

Entering my senior  has been a challenge, like most kids dealing with the challenges of Covid. I suffered a broken foot during my Jr year of Varsity Football, just when I got the cast off, covid hit and we lost our Track Season. So my times shown are from my Sophomore year. I qualified for the State Finals in Jr. High Track both 2016 and 2017 in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay.  Also competed in Conf Finals and competed in two Varsity Meets as a Freshman in 2017. My Sophomore year I ran mostly Varsity Meets in both Indoor and Outdoor Seasons. I ran 60, 200, and short relays Indoor and 100, 200, 400 and short relays outdoor. 

I have always been looked at as a leader. I was selected as a "Natural Helper" by my peers and selected to the "Leadership Council" by my teachers at my Jr High for two years. In the Natural Helpers Program, I would assist other students after school in both social and personal skill development.  In the Leadership Council I worked with students from my school and other schools to develop our leadership skills and share ideas and concepts within the group. 

I look forward to my senior year and getting bigger, stronger and faster and improving my times. The college search is both exciting and rewarding. Im looking for a school where I can grow both Academically and Athletically.
