Personal Statement
My name is Kenneth Shaurone Gooden Jr., also known as "KJ". I'm going to be attending Prestige Worldwide Football Academy in Florida, under the direction of Coach Marty Culpepper and Coach Brian Jones. I play QB, I'm 6'4, 180 pounds, left handed, run a 4.6 40 yard dash, my GPA is a 3.6, and sports and academics is my life. I have two motto's..."Trust the process" and "You play how you practice". Trust the process means nothing is given to you. If you don't put in the work, don't expect positive results...I love seeing the results after working hard for something. You play how you practice means don't be surprised at the outcome of a game. If you put in the work throughout the week, the outcome should be a good one when it's game time. I love my teammates and I love going to war with them...they are my brothers-in-arms. My dad is a 21 year Army vet and he instilled discipline in me from an early age. It was rough going through it but I see now it was the best thing for me. When it's game time I look at it as if I'm going to war and during war you have to always respect your enemy/opponent. My goal is to play football at the next level. I've been working towards this goal since I was 6 years old. There is no doubt I would be an asset to a collegiate program.
