Personal Statement

I believe that college is a privilege that has to be earned.  Earning an athletic scholarship is a dream of mine and a goal that has been a priority in my life. Earning anything requires work and in my case hard work that isn't only on the field but in the classroom as well. Staying ahead of many of my classmates requires a lot of work and studying to keep up. Being a student athlete has grounded me and helped me study hard and manage my time efficiently.  The same work ethic I use in school is evident on the field as well, allowing myself to be coachable and become an athlete that is capable of performing to a high caliber.  Earning something always requires work and work is rarely easy but choosing to put in the time and push yourself to do what you may not be able to do now but know you can achieve later is something I’m dedicated to.
