Personal Statement

I am 6’1, 160 pound wide receiver and safety from Waxhaw North Carolina. I have been playing football since I was 8 years old. I currently play for Marvin Ridge High School starting my second season with the program. Our JV squad finished last season 9-1 conference champions, and the most successful JV team in Marvin Ridge school history.

In the classroom I hold a 4.375 GPA in all honors classes including being a trombone player in the concert band despite my love for heavy metal music. I strive to be a strong leader on and off the field. I look to influence my peers and teammates to always do the right thing and help out when needed. Being the oldest of 5 children I have to balance faith, family, academics, sports and find ways to do what it takes to ensure success.

I believe I am a well-rounded athlete, in addition to football I also enjoy competing in high school team lacrosse, summer travel lacrosse, and winter track and field. As I young child I excelled in other sports including soccer, basketball, swimming, baseball, and triathlons but football has always been my passion.

I have dreamed of playing college football since I was a young child and will do all I can to make an impact the day I step on campus. I have interest in pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and possible military service. I want a school with a strong academic reputation combined with strong competitive athletics to maximize my talents and ensure my future success.
