Personal Statement

Hello, I am Miles Childers. Ever since I was a six years old, I have dreamt of playing college football.  The lights.  The butterflies.  The brotherhood.  The fans.  The hard work.  The game.  I cherish the blessing of football everyday and want it to last as long as possible.  That is why I am here today on this site. I take my future seriously, I am here to do my very best.  Every rep, every play, every practice, and every game, I will completely commit my time and effort to your team.  Along with football, I play lacrosse as well.  At my college preparatory high school,  Marmion Academy, I am taking a Leadership class.  Our teachers form us into disciplined and hard working young men.  They do this through instilling in us lessons of Leadership that carry over onto the field, into the classroom, and in our lives forever.  I am on the Executive team for the class.  Here, the team and I make crucial decisions for the future of the program.  On top of this, I was elected for the "Water Carrier" award by my peers.  This award recognizes the individual in their class that embodies and lives the Leadership lifestyle.  Also, I am on my school's Student Council.  On the aspect of classes, I am in Honors English, Theology, and History.  This semester, I had a 3.9 GPA.  I am in a Business and Marketing class as well.  As a very personable and empathetic person, I firmly believe that business can be my major.  All in all, I am Miles Childers.  A hardworking wide-receiver, a determined student, and a leader in life.  Thank you for taking the time to view my profile, hopefully you will consider.
