Personal Statement
My name is Shane Stroyke. I am a 6'5" 298 young Sophomore Offensive and Defensive linemen at Loyola High School in Los Angeles. I played on Varsity last season, playing in roughly half the games on varsity and half the games on the Sophomore team. I also have played club volleyball with SCVC for the last three years, winning the Junior Olympic National Title Last year in 2017 after being the runner up as a setter the year before. I played volleyball for Loyola last year as a freshman, but gave up volleyball this year, to focus on football. I also announce all the Varsity Home Volleyball games for Cubnews.org. My goal is to play college football at the highest level possible and get an excellent education, and if everything works out play professional football. I am a hard working, honest young man of faith and have integrity. I am happy to do way more than the minimum to improve my skills, strength and athleticism. To that end I train off campus twice weekly with Troll Stubin at The Yard, and also Jonathan Jones in El Segundo. Additionally, I have attending many Men In The Trenches Camps on Saturdays working on Stance, Balance, Footwork, Hand Placement, combo Run blocks, Kick Step, etc and really enjoy the head to head competition in pass protection at the end of each camp. I am versatile having played all positions on the offensive line in the last two years. I think my intelligence, size, athleticism and versatility make me a valuable option for any college program.
