Personal Statement
Atascocita High School District Champions 6A District 22 Texas (#12 State)
I was born to breathe, live and play football. I enjoy every aspect of the game; the physical power, strategic planning, mental preparedness, team work, family and of course, winning. I strive to do my best every day and then push myself harder to be better. My idol is JJ Watt, not just because he's an excellent player but, I respect his lifestyle off the field. He holds upstanding values, ethics and a positive attitude. He is everything I strive to be as a man and a player. I also want to stay in the game later in life as a College or NFL Training Coach after college.
I am dedicated to becoming one of the best players in Texas. My goal is to play in the NFL and I know I will one day. I spend holidays, weekends and any off time bettering myself in strength, speed and agility. I constantly ask my coaches to evaluate my performance and to instruct me on how to do it better. My parents don't make me or force me to do extra work, I do this all on my own. I even run sprints after week day practice to better my 40 time.
I started many years ago on the Offensive Line (4th grade). Currently, I hold first string position as Varsity Offensive Guard for Atascocita High School Eagles (District Champions). My junior year I held the Defense Tackle position. I'm an extremely versatile player, coach will put me in for O-line or D-line at any time during the game and he is confident I'll be effective. The coaches gave me a great honor my Freshman/JV years and started me as Defensive Tackle AND Offensive Guard. I am fortunate to have winning seasons for all my football seasons. We have made it to state semi-finals multiple years in a row. I know we are going to take home the state title this year. Going into my Senior year I am prepared to play the hardest I ever have in my life.
For every year I played in middle school I was awarded the "Fighting Tiger" Award (all around exceptional player with positive attitude and high academics). Our Varsity has been district champs for multiple years in a row (6A). My Freshman/JV year, the Varsity head coach requested that I move up to the Varsity practice squad to help prepare our high school to win playoffs. Currently, we (Varsity) are District Champions and have made it to the 3rd round or higher at the state championship for multiple years. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity with the exceptional coaches to continue my football career. I am honored to play for at Atascocita High School.
In addition to my high school football career, I also held a Varsity position on our Wrestling Team my Sophomore year. I joined the team hoping to develop a more aggressive attack and quicken my reaction time. My records: Freshman 12-2 and Sophomore 12-3. I am proud to say that majority of my wins were by pins in under a minute (13, 16, 31, 36 seconds). I hold the team (unofficial) record for the fastest take down/pin in 6 seconds.
I am excited for the opportunity to play for an elite college program. I am a strong, skilled, aggressive, versatile and highly dedicated player that is easily coached. All of my high school coaches are excellent mentors. I am honored to know each one personally and gain from their knowledge. I believe I have an excellent foundation to build on and am edger to learn and play at the collegiate level. I strive to be the best and I am dedicated to make our team winners. Go EAGLES!!
