Personal Statement
Hello my name is Michael Manning and I am a two sport athlete at Lincoln-Way East high school. I love to watch and learn many new skills the game of football has to offer, but what I enjoy the most is to actually play in the game. I have goals and aspirations to achieve a scholarship to help towards college tuition and to also excel in my sport. I am a hard-working individual who emphasizes the idea of extra work, not only on the field but in the classroom and in my community, as well. My older brother (who is attending the University of Illinois) and I have been working hard to push each other to reach our goals either academically or athletically, so I have developed a drive for the game of football that can not be beaten. Academically I strive to reach my goal of a 3.5 GPA every semester. In addition to playing football, I also run track which helps me gain speed and pushes my competitiveness. I also try to help out around my community as much as possible to better the town and to also represent my school. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
