Personal Statement

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a 16year old 5'11" developing RHP. One of my favorite quotes is:"Hard work beats talent, when talent does'nt work". Softball! Wow what a game. I love it. There is no greater feeling up to this point in my young life than being part of a team.

My goal is to continue to play softball at the college level. D1, D2, D3, NAIA, Junior College. My parents have always told me to aim for the stars. The right level for me is 100% dependent on how hard I can push, challenge, and continue to get closer to being the best student athlete possible. I possess the academics, softball IQ, leadership qualities, work ethic, time management skills, heart, and desire to be an asset at any school at any level.

I have an interest in pursuing a degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, and Health Services.

A little know fact about me is, I want to Coach softball once my playing days end. I want to pass along all the knowledge I have had the privilege of learning from every Coach, every Instructor, every Teammate, throughout my softball journey. With all the joys and pains I have experienced over the years, one thing is a constant. Softball is not always sunshine and roses. At times it is a mean and nasty game. Even the toughest of players and Coaches will get beat down to their knees. It will drive you out of the game permanantly if you let it.  To sum up who I am as a student, a softball player, a teammate, friend, daughter, sister, Pitcher: I have been hit, bled, and beaten. I get back up. I keep moving forward. I earn my grades, my softball skills, my innings. Nothing in life is given. I will keep moving forward. Day by day. Class by class. Game after game.  I do not know any other way. I will succeed. I believe. This is how winning is done. Yes, I borrowed this from that amazing inspirational scene from the movie Rocky.

Thank you again for taking the time to learn a little about me.
