Personal Statement
I am the 2nd oldest child in a family of 7 children. We all play multiple sports, and tend to be very competitive. I always pride myself in giving 100% every time I'm on the field and on the court, as well as in the classroom.
I’m committed to working hard to become the best man and athlete I can become. I want my character to define me, and my coaches tell me that they appreciate my heart, hard work, and determination. I stay committed to our team goals, as well as individual goals. Team comes first though, and I don’t let bad games get me down. Mindset is everything in life, many teams have over achieved because everyone stayed focused on doing their job, stayed positive, and refused to take no for an answer. That’s really the story of my life. I’ve never been the most athletic, the strongest, or the fastest, but one thing every coach will tell you who has ever coached me is that I never give less than 100%, and always do so with a positive attitude. I’m committed to playing in college. I'm willing to take on whatever role our team needs me to take on to help us win.
I strive to be humble and coachable, and my coaches have told me that I am easy to coach because of this. I want to play college sports like my life depended on it, and if given the chance at any college I will not make the coach regret taking a chance on me! Many tell me that I'm too slow, not athletic enough, etc., to play my position in college. To them I say watch the film. All season I competed against high quality competition. We didn't win every time, but I won those matchups more often than not. I'm ready to come in and contribute on a team that will take a chance on me.
