Personal Statement
My name is Jordan Leslie and I love to play football. At its basics, the reason I love to play football is because I think its fun to shut down plays and to make plays; playing both defense and offense has provided me with a well-rounded perspective for both. I always try to be a great asset to the team by being a leader, adding focus and energy to the team, and bring the team up when times are tough. I care about my teammates and take care of them. They are like brothers to me.
There are many players past and present that I look up to. One person playing today that I look up to is Le’Veon Bell. I look up to him because he is an elite player and he always cares for his team; he will do anything for them. I think he is one of the best overall players in the NFL. Another thing that he does that I think I do well is finish games strong, win or lose. I will play the last play just like it was the first. I don’t ever assume past wins will provide today’s or give up based on past losses. I try to make a difference whenever I get a chance on the field, and am always looking for ways to do so on every play.
My goal after high school is to play for a top college football team; D1. What I bring is who I am as a person (which I tried to provide some insight on above), the skills I am building (both on and off the field), my speed, strength and agility, and a unending desire to contribute where I am needed in the way that is needed for my team to succeed.
