Personal Statement

Since Age 9, I’ve committed to swim for Long Island Aquatic Club.  I love swimming and enjoy the life in the pool with my team mates.  Swimming has taught me a lot. Although at times, I feel tired when managing school work and swimming practices.  However, I stick to it and have overcome the difficult times and making myself strong and stronger. I think this quality will benefit me throughout my life when I face difficulties and downturns in life.  Being able to focus on the goal and ignore the distractions to reach my own personal best in life.

I love to race and I’m a strong breast stroker.  My favorite event is 100 breast because I like short distance swimming.  I want to swim throughout my college life.  Inside my heart, although I know it is very hard, but with my continuous hard work, I have a dream to swim for US team.

I believe I can be a good candidate for the college swim teams who needs a strong breast stroker because it is important in the Medley relay as well as the individual 100 & 200 Breast events.  I can be a great asset to represent the school to win.  I’m not the most talkative person but I get along with my teammates very well.  As a team player, I show a lot of support for them during practices and at meets.  I’m fortunate to be with a great team since 9 and I hope to join another one in college!  Academically I may not be the smartest the person in the class but I always strive to do the best I can to improve myself.  I'm interested to to teach and coach or develop my career in the physical therapist / athletic training fields.
