Cj was selected to the Youth1 Elite 101 Rankings for the Class of 2022. "Every summer since 2011, the Elite101 has identified the top 101 football players entering the 8th grade, as selected by Youth1.com’s National Scouting Director Ryan Oliver. Over the
Florida Sporting News did a full page write up on Cj after the 2014 season after talking to him and him being selected as one of seven quarterbacks in the 5th grade or below spotlighted by National Sports Report.
They followed multiple players from around the country to see their summer time routines to get prepared for the 2019 season. This issue cover 12 players from 6 states. Enjoy the read.

Tony Colston's 2019 Gunslinger Challenge

Anderson County High School, Knoxville, TN
25 top high school quarterbacks from 11 different states competed for the Gunslinger Challenge Champion. Results were from fundamental form, target throws, moving target throws, air routes and 1v1 throws. Finished #4 beating out all of the 2020 quarterbacks and was the highest 2022 quarterback and only one in the top 7.

Personal Statement
My goal is in the next season to be competing for state championship with my local high school and developing to play on the major college level by committing my mind, body and soul to being the best student, athlete and teammate I can be.
My individual season goals are to break the team/state passing records that stand. Any individual milestones that I will achieve will be because of my teammates and our hard work together.
What I think sets me apart from others is that I study the game intensely. I study youth games, high school games, college games and pro games and read defenses from the safety up to the line and out the the corners. I study tendencies and habits of players/teams and I watch what happens from play to play during games. Everything I see, I let my coaches know when I come off the field. When I am not in the game, I make sure to help the other quarterbacks by supporting them even if its as simple as a pep talk or quick read of the defense.
