Personal Statement

I have had to face an adversity no child should face. When I was 12 years old, I woke to find my father had passed away. My mother, my brother, and I attempted CPR, but he was too far gone. I was able to find strength to continue growing as an athlete because he taught me to love the game of softball. 

"I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. My goal is to explore a Psychology major . On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college softball  career, I will strive to be a behind the plate as a catcher or to be a utility player.  Although catching is my passion, I’ll be and asset  to the batting line-up I strive to be at my best at all times . Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, and the school I attend.
