Club Season History
  • 2014 Lyons Football Club (LFC) Tigers
(Senior (8th Grade)) “Sean Rickman (class of 2019) was a great asset to the 2014 LFC Tigers Senior division team. From day 1, Sean exhibited great teamwork, leadership, strong work ethic and a coachable spirit. Sean played hard on both offense and defense as a two-way starter and blessed with a high motor, played all snaps to the whistle and has good versatility. On Offense, Sean was our “H” back in shotgun and a between the tackles running back out of Jet and I formations. He stood out as our Middle Linebacker on Defense and, as captain of the unit, called the signals on the field and helped set the Defense. Sean played sideline to sideline with great on field intensity – it was a privilege to have him on our team.” John O’Connor Head Coach LFC Tigers Senior 2014

Personal Statement

For me, education has always been my top priority because my education is my future. Even when football inevitably passes me up and I am no longer able to play, I will have an education to fall back on. My academic goal for high school is to do well enough that I don't need to play football in college to be accepted into a good school but, at the same time, playing college football has been a dream of mine for as long as i can remember. In choosing a college I will choose the most academically enabling school that I can play football for. Vince Lombardi said, "Leaders are made, they are not born". This is why, in everything I do, I strive to do the best I can and hopefully help others do the best they can as well. I am always trying to lead by example because I firmly believe that while leading by word can be effective, leading by my words and through my actions will aid me in achieving far greater in life as a leader and as a person.

My father was my biggest reason to play football. It was a huge part of his life growing up until he was severely injured and could no longer play. I felt like it was my duty to let his dream live on through me and i play every snap like it's my last because it might be.
