Personal Statement

     My overall collegiate goal is to receive a Master's Degree in Journalism and Communication.  I would like to obtain a career in sports writing or broadcasting. 
     I will be an excellent team member because I know that my football IQ is somewhat above average. I study football film daily and work with my coaches to see how I can improve my techniques and the overall defensive line strategies. I follow directives and implement my coach's plays. I also encourage my teammates to play better than we practice.
     My parents have instilled in me to value character and a good reputation. I don't risk my character or tarnish my reputation ever, this effects my team, my family and most importantly-me. I respect authority and lead not follow. Academically, I struggled a bit in science and math-not my strengths, but learned to work harder in these areas later in my high school years. I am a strong writer and good English student. I feel that my talents in the classroom and on the field will be shown through my actions.  As a perspective forth generation college graduate, I'm academically motivated to do well. Athletically, I believe strongly that I have the physical body and athleticism to dominate at the collegiate and NFL level.
