Personal Statement

I'm a disciplined, hard worker with a background in karate, triathlon, basketball, cycling, and track.  I was selected as game captain more times than any other player on my team.  I'm also in the top 2% of my class academically.

Last year I was selected as game Captain 4 times and was voted Freshman DB of the Year.  My best game was in a win over a favored Rancho Cucamonga team when I had 3 interceptions, forced a fumble, and recovered a fumble.  I also had 16 solo or assisted tackles in a tie against Santiago. I couldn't have had the year I had without my teammates and coaches.  

I never thought of myself as a college player until coaches started telling me I had D1 potential.  I owe it to myself to find out if they're right.   Right now I'm the only sophomore Varsity starter on my CIF-SS D1 team   Right now we are ranked 11th in CA and 65th in the entire country.  I'm working hard to improve my weaknesses so I can meet the high expectations of playing against the elite level of competition we face.
