Dear Coaches,

My name is Jacob Clark; I am a junior at Hibriten High School, in Lenoir, North Carolina. I am writing to you because of my interest in playing football at the college level. In addition to playing football, I throw the shot and discus on the Hibriten track team. I am 6’1” and weigh 275 pounds.

On the Hibriten football team, I am a guard, defensive tackle, and long snapper. I have received my third varsity letter at the end of this past season. I was selected as a 2018 Northwestern 2AA All-Conference Player and 2018 All-County Player. In addition, I was honored to receive the 2018 Blocking Award for my football team. I am a dedicated student athlete; I work hard in the off season lifting weights and training to prepare myself for the next football season. I enjoy throwing shot and discus; I have lettered in track for two years. Recently, I won fourth place for the Northwestern 2AA conference for discus.

I am a member of my school’s Varsity Club, Beta Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I regularly participate in community service events and attend club meetings. I have enjoyed helping with Special Olympics within Caldwell County. I also participate in community service activities through Hibriten Football Panther Roar activities; these activities include going out into the community and giving back through volunteer work. I really enjoy working with others and helping them.

My current GPA is 3.5. I have taken the ACT and scored a composite score of 19. I plan on taking it again; I consider myself to be a diligent and driven student.
