Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Terrell Dolberry. I am a 18 years old currently attending Narbonne High, located in Los Angeles California. I'm a 12th grade student. I currently hold a 3.8 GPA and have been on the student honor roll since my sophmore year. My major is art/science with a passion for football. I started playing football at the age of 6 years old. I played flag football for the city of Norwalk, which is also located in California. Then at the age of 7, I started playing tackle football sometimes called Pop Warner. I played Pop Warner until the age of 13 years old. While in middle school I ran track and played basketball also. When I entered high school I earned a starting spot on the varsity football team at Glen A. Wilson High in Hacienda Heights California. There as a freshman on varsity I earned my first letter and was awarded honorable mention. Then my sophomore year I moved and came to Los Angeles Senior High School. Where i rushed for 646 yards and 3 touchdowns, we were the Southern League champs in the 2007 season and I was awarded 1st team all league. We made it to the 1st round of the play-offs and was knocked out by southeast high. My junior year i rushed for 900 yards 6 touchdowns we won only 2 games that year.I was awarded MVP and fisrt team all-league. My senior year i moved again and checked into the school i currently attend now Narbonne high. At Narbonne I didnt really play too much offense I played mainly defense, we made it to the Los Angeles City Section Finals where we faced the Crenshaw Cougars to a 34-14 deficit. I was awarded the student athlete award and the coaches award. I also ran track. While competing in the 100, 200, 4x100, and the 4x400 relay. I was awarded three gold metals for the southern league track finals. I have discovered that there are no limitations other than the ones that I choose and impose upon myself. While everybody brings to the world their unique talents, abilities, and gifts and some of mine include my strong will and determination to be able to give it all I have to succeed, advance and survive with a good education, while pursuing a career in professional football.
