Personal Statement
With God being first and my family second, I have always been driven by a passion for football, this game has not only shaped my character but also taught me the values of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline. Since I was 5 running in the field during flag football, I knew that I wanted to pursue football at the highest level, and I am blessed and thankful to be able to take that next step.
Throughout this journey, I have consistently demonstrated my dedication both on and off the field. I have committed to training, my ability to not just do but to learn and my resilience in the face of all that’s been thrown at me have allowed me to develop a strong work ethic. I am a strong, sometimes silent leader. Whether it’s lifting weights, reviewing playbooks, film or working on my technique, I understand that it‘s not just about raw talent; it’s about the integrity of it all. What am I doing when no one is looking?
As a player, I am more than just an asset on the field. I am a leader, a motivator, and someone who encourages my teammates to give their best every day. I am also open to any thing that would help myself and my team get better. I’ve learned the importance of trust, reliability, communication, and accountability within a team. This has helped me to build lasting relationships with my coaches and fellow players beyond the field.
I am just as committed to my education and personal growth. I also have a passion for cooking and often help my mom in the kitchen. I am praying to excel not only in athletics but academically as well. My dream is the NFL with a Culinary Arts degree. I have a younger brother who looks up to me and I pray to show him and others that success is not only defined by what you achieve on the field, but by character.
