Personal Statement

My name is Braden Phillips and I am in the graduating class of 2026. My high school journey has taken me from Camden Military Academy where I played football, basketball, and soccer, to Westminster Catawba Christian School where I played soccer, basketball, and baseball, to Homeschool where I play football and basketball.  At Camden Military Academy I was the captain of the JV football and JV soccer teams and played on the varsity soocer team. At Westminster Catawba Christian School I was the captain of the varsity soccer team and also played on the varsity basketball and baseball teams.  

This Fall 2024 I was Homeschooled and played football for the South Carolina Spartans.  I played Tight End, Wide Receiver, Punter, Defensive End and Linebacker. As a WR/TE I had approximately 40 receptions, 700 receiving yards, and 8 touchdowns, as a DE/OLB I had 6 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and averaged 8-10 tackles per game, and as a punter I averaged 40 yards per punt.  This season I was voted the most outstanding offensive player on my team. I am currently 6 feet 3 inches tall and weigh 220 lbs.

My GPA is 4.0 my SAT score is 1100, I have dual citizenship in Germany and America, and I speak German. In addition to athletics, I perform theater, ride horses, and work on my family farm.
