Personal Statement

Football became my focus in the fall of my junior year. I had previously played three sports most of my life and fished on the county team since 6th grade. By junior year I played football and basketball and continued to fish. I participated in Service learning at my school which is a class that allows you to go out into the community and volunteer. I volunteered at a local elementary school and Habitat for Humanity as a part of this program. Since my freshman year, I have accumulated over 125 hours of volunteer work in my community.  I also was selected for the Youth Leadership program which focuses on leadership development along with highlighting local history, community service, government, and business. I enjoy being a part of a team and thrive on being around others and contributing to the group. I am interested in pursuing a degree in engineering or business, but I am still very much undecided. I hope to better myself and the campus that I become a part of in the future! Athletics has always been a key part of my life, and I hope to continue to play football in college!
