Personal Statement

Hello Coaches,

My name is Brady McLarty, I'm a goalkeeper playing in Vancouver, Canada. My complete goal is to play at the collegiate level and professionally. I believe in preventative defending using communication and organizing my defenders, I take pride in my footwork and distribution, I'm aggressive on crosses and corners defending my box and I excel in 1v1s and shot stopping. My greatest accomplishment is making the Vancouver Whitecaps academy and playing above my age group with the u17s in mlsnext, I grew the most as a student athlete moving away form home to play for the whitecaps at 14 years old and taking on the challenges of high level soccer and high school on my own. I'm looking for a team that values hard work, discipline and hard work, I focus on improving myself on and off the field and I'm excited to improving under a strong coaching staff. Outside my athlete ability, I'm proud of my coach ability, leadership and resiliency. I elevate player's around me and create a great environment for improvement
