Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Jesse Worrel. I am a Class of 2029 Offensive Lineman and Defensive Guard at Dawson Middle School in Southlake Carroll ISD. In a district of many amazing athletes, I stand out. My above average strength, leadership, character, and coachability have affected my skills and contributions on the field.  

My proudest individual accomplishment is my upper body strength.  I attend private O-Line coaching and weightlifting with our high school players, and I have really learned a lot from them.  I look up to them as mentors as I continue in my development as a player.

My proudest team accomplishment is going undefeated in our 8th grade season and winning District.  This included beating the other Southlake Carroll middle school 40-14, which also includes impressive athletes.

I am excited about playing football in college.  I am looking for a program where I feel valued by the coaching staff, am surrounded by teammates and friends who share the same values of character and integrity that I do, and can get an education that prepares me for continued success in life.
