Personal Statement
My name is Samantha Nikolovski and I am a class of 2029 student. The three things that matter most to me in life are my family, academics and softball. My dedication to the sport of softball drives me to continually improve and push my limits, my devotion to my family keeps me grounded and inspired, and my focus on academics ensures that I’m building a strong foundation for the future.
My commitment to softball has taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, and goal-setting. It has built a physical and mental toughness in me, while also fostering a competitive spirit, and the ability to handle both success and failure gracefully.
Staying connected with my family provides me with emotional support, values, and a sense of responsibility. It grounds me by helping me stay humble and focused on the bigger picture, not just personal achievements.
Prioritizing my academics will develop my intellectual abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Understanding how to manage priorities and handle pressure effectively is vital for my future success on and off the field.
I believe combining my love of softball, values from my family, and intelligence I gain through academics will make me a stronger player and a better person. It will allow me to become someone who not only excels in competition but also respects others, learns continuously, and gives back to the team and community - which will allow me to become a leader both on the field and in life.
