Personal Statement

I am Xavier Lucas, a 3-year starter from Seabreeze High School, transferred to Spruce Creek Highschool my sophomore year. I carry a 3.2 GPA and will graduate high school in spring of 2026. I've had the opportunity to start at Cornerback and Free Safety for my first three seasons and will return as CB1 for my senior season. When you watch my highlights, despite my size, you can see I love to hit and be physical, show different techniques and can cover well in man coverage and zone, and explosive when that ball comes into my hands.

Although I have proven to not be on of the most versatile players in the state, my best attribute is my General IQ. Having a high IQ gives me an advantage in playing Zone Coverage. Since Middle School, I have worked hard to shape my technique around my strengths. This offseason, I plan to continue to develop these skills and go to camps to expose myself against the best competition. 

As an epistemophilic learner,  I have developed a deep understanding of the game and how to approach it. More importantly, I have learned the importance of having a tremendous work ethic and drive. A man of integrity, I take pride in the little things that form big goals.

Lastly, You will definitely be annoyed by my presence. First one there, last one out. Always asking questions. If lead by example was a person, that would be me.
