Personal Statement

My name is Oliver Scott I am a 15 year old football player out of Midlothian High School. My story is very different from your normal 15 year old, I grew up playing Rugby in Australia till I was 10, then my parents decided to move to America and I started playing flag football and I had a lot of fun, and was interested in playing normal football, but I had no idea how to play football but I knew a couple things. I went into my first year off football last year not knowing anything but I used the offseason to learn everything I needed to know and I was able to show the coaches that I was coachable and I wanted there help to learn. This year the coaches started me on B team then I got moved to A team backup and 2 games into the season I got my chance to shine as the starter for A team and I made sure I didn’t take this opportunity for granted.

My collegiate goals are to create bonds with new teammates and coaches, and show them I’m a good candidate for there team by working hard over the next couple of years and making new connections with coaches. I always have a positive attitude towards my academics, my athletic ability, and my teammates.
