Personal Statement
I’ve always felt a huge passion for football: the big plays, the crowd noise, the rivalries, the close games. But specifically, I fell in love with being a quarterback because I realized that it’s not just about throwing and reading defenses. It's about the leadership role that comes with it. I get to make myself, the team, and the people around me better. I do my best to lead by example and to motivate those around me. I've exemplified this off the field as well, as I've completed over 100 community service leadership hours in the past year working in Costa Rica building houses and working with marine life last summer. Service programs have exposed me to different cultures and languages, things I'm already grateful to be exposed to as a part of the East Harlem/ Bronx team (2023 champions!) in New York City league.
I excel academically, as well. I've studied Mandarin, Spanish, and the arts, but my special strengths lie in advanced math and creative writing. But honestly, my heart lies with sports. When I'm not in football, I'm playing volleyball to become a well-rounded athlete. I strive to build a mindset where I’m addicted to reaching my potential. I do this by practicing in clinics and privately with former NFL QB, Jay Fiedler. I also love to get field work in multiple times a week with my head coach in teammates, I workout with a personal trainer three times a week, and I’m always interested in working out alone or going out to the field with some teammates to perfect our chemistry and our game. I don‘t practice so much because I want to play in college but because I need to. I love my life when football is a part of it and I’ll work as hard as I can to keep it a part of my life in college.
I'm grateful for your consideration.

Metrics were collected through a variety of drills during the Wilson QBX camps where players threw footballs using Wilson X Connected QB tracking technology embedded in each ball.
