Personal Statement

My name is Zion Brown. I have been playing football since my 9th grade year. My first goal is to go D1 in this sport, then I want to be one of the best edge rushers of all time. The game was first a sense of escapism from mundane life. It has allowed me to connect to a more enthusiastic part of myself that I never knew before. It is now a big part of my life that allows me to be ruthless, rough, and loud on the field. The work ethic required is something I value and appreciate. When I play the game I genuinely have fun and that is one of the many reasons why I love the game. I’m inspired by my uncle, Muhammad Wilkerson, who was once a top edge rusher in the NFL. I also take inspiration from my father who went all-state in high school.
